The Sheraton Athlone Hotel, part of the Hodson Bay Group, is currently seeking to recruit a Night Manager.

The successful candidate will manage and take responsibility for the Hotel at night.

Applicants must have the desire and interest in learning and developing their skills and should have previous Bar/Reception experience.

Excellent presentation skills are required along with a positive 'can do' attitude.

Previous Night Auditor/Supervisor experience is essential for this role.

Must be computer literate - knowledge of Front Desk Systems an advantage.

This is an ideal opportunity to develop and progress in an International Hotel chain.

Fluent level of written and spoken English is essential.


This is a senior position within the Hotel with the individual reporting to the General Manager. The person will have overall responsibility for the smooth running of the Hotel between the hours of 11pm and 7.30am.


  • To carry out all Managerial duties as per the agreed standards.
  • To take control and responsibility for the hotel at night.
  • To take every opportunity to maximise revenue.
  • To assist and carry out training as required and to document the same.
  • To be responsible for the day to day queries, complaints, and issues that arises in the Restaurant.
  • To ensure the highest levels of Customer Care are practised at all times.
  • To ensure cash/vouchers and all forms of payment are handled in a secure and responsible manner.
  • To deal with all complaints in a courteous and efficient manner and inform the senior manager.
  • To ensure that reasonable care is taken for the Health and Safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other persons on the Hotel premises.
  • To carry out fire and accident details.
  • To observe all safety rules and procedures.
  • To ensure that all materials and equipment are not left in a hazardous state.
  • To report and where possible, take action on incidents of accidents, fire, loss or damage.
