The Galway Bay Hotel, part of the Hodson Bay Group, is currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join the Kitchen team.

This is a busy but organised and well-functioning kitchen and we are looking an individual who consistently demonstrates a passion for the preparation and presentation of excellent food.


  • Work as part of a team to provide the highest standard of food preparation and presentation.
  • Contribute to the production of food items according to menu specifications.
  • Be aware and prepared for the level of business in house every day.
  • Be familiar with the menu and the 'specials' of the day.
  • Avoid unnecessary wastage and follow portion planning and control and to act in a cost effective, responsible manner.
  • Ensure excellent food hygiene practice is observed in the entire food chain from storage through to preparation and service.
  • Follow and adhere to HACCP compliance within the kitchen and all Food & Beverage outlets.
  • Ensure the kitchen equipment is in working order; report any maintenance issues to your supervisor


  • Must be highly organised
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organised, excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
  • Flexible, ability to work as part of a team and individually


  • Experience in a busy kitchen
  • 2-3 Years at Commis or Chef de Partie level
